Aim of the role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced MI Analyst to provide timely and accurate analysis of financial and statistical data and deliver the insight, recommendations, decision support and impact analysis.

Detailed duties and responsibilities

• Identify and facilitate the development of new reports through the Business Intelligence Team
• Review volume and nature of all reports and continually analyse reports for improvements;
• Provide support to the Governance Managers in relation to his/her reporting duties
• Develop and implement meaningful reporting of financial and statistical data, turning data in to information;
• Timely delivery of all reports;
• Providing statistical data analysis support and guidance to our Lean Six Sigma business improvement programme
• Assist in the delivery of financial analysis, key performance metrics and financial reports;
• The ability to analyse operational and business trends and develop statistical and forecasting models is essential.
• Checking the accuracy of reporting produced to ensure that valid business decisions can be made based on it.

Person specification

• High quality numerical degree and strong mathematical / logical capability;
• Proven MI analytical experience in a similar role;
• Experience of working with Claims Management systems and data;
• Creative and inquisitive approach;
• Good commercial awareness of the insurance industry;
• Able to combine and condense vast quantities of diverse data into meaningful insight;
• Demonstrating effective communications, influencing and relationship building skills – both within and outside the immediate team;
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
• Able to share technical information with a non-technical audience so that it is informative and engaging;
• Demonstrate track record of analysis and process improvement;
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work;
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines whilst maintaining reliability.
