Payroll Clerk – Liverpool

 Salary range is £18-£23k.  Start date ASAP

Responsibilities

  • ·         Process the whole payroll procedure from data collection through to full payroll run and report processing.
  • ·         Complete month end routines
  • ·         Complete all year end routines (P14/P45/P60/P35 etc)
  • ·         Be compliant with current legislation
  • ·         Manage HMRC queries
  • ·         Manage and process the RTI function
  • ·         Fully compliant with fringe aspects including attachment of earnings and salary sacrifice etc
  • ·         Be IT literate. Intermediate excel skills required. This will include VLOOKUP formula and csv file imports
  • ·         Be conversant with E-banking
  • ·         Maintain data for starters & Leavers
  • ·         Operate Holiday schemes

Other skills:

  • Sage 50 payroll experience would be an advantage
  • Systems knowledge. An ability to improve a system where weaknesses exist and look to improve software/procedures to make a system more efficient (eg Time & Attendance)
  • Experience of multi branch processing is an advantage
